Sixth Annual Benefit Poker Run

“The American Legion Riders – Post 189, invites the motorcycling public for a day of fun on Saturday, May 21, 2011. We will be holding our Sixth Annual Benefit Poker Run. The Poker Run is open to all motorcycles, start and finish will be at the Legion Post Home – 29 Sheldon Street , in Norwich , NY . Sign in for the Poker Run starts at 10:30 you have the choice of riding solo or ‘running with the pack’ in our group ride. There will be a lunch stop. Donation is $10 per player, the ride will be a scenic and leisurely 80+ miles of paved country roads. Awards and 50/50 at 5:00 PM.

“Immediately following the Poker Run there will be fellowship with reasonably priced beverages available, back at the Legion. Prizes and trophies will be awarded for Poker Run winners and Best of Show.

“Proceeds will benefit the Landstuhl Hospital Care Project – This grass-roots organization provides comfort and relief items for military members who become sick, injured, or wounded from service in Iraq , Kuwait , and Afghanistan . Donated items are distributed to military patients at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany , the largest American military hospital outside the United States . Monetary contributions help purchase needed items.
